S&H Metal Products, located in Topeka, IN, is a leading custom sheet metal fabricator. We are a highly-skilled team with years of engineering and design experience.
Started by Fritz Helmuth and Harley Schlabach in 1972, the company began its journey by making a variety of light galvanized fabrication parts for the RV and Modular Home industries. It was born from the dream Fritz had while working in his father’s metal shop before and after classes at Honeyville School. From as early as the 3rd grade, Fritz has been designing and fabricating a wide variety of products in both galvanized and stainless steel.
In 1979 Fritz bought out Schlabach and moved the business to Redman Drive. In 2020 a new 85,000 sq. ft. facility was built adjacent to the Freedom Finish Works building on Lake Street, where it continues to provide quality custom sheet metal products and components to a diverse group of customers and industries.
Fritz believes that business shouldn’t just be in a community; it should also be an active participant in the community. S&H Metal Products is a member of The Chamber of LaGrange County, and is proud to sponsor local softball teams, West End Soccer, little league basketball, and little league baseball.
